In October 2024, the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" will conduct the program of Days of Robotics and Innovative Educational Technologies in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. The project is funded by the Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency. It contributes into the governmental Development of Education program and aims to promote Russian science, culture, and education internationally.

The Days of Robotics project will include the exhibition and multi-format learning program on mechatronics, robotics, VR technologies and other subjects to attract school graduates and students interested in getting higher engineering education in Russia. The lectures, workshops, master classes and presentations for learners and teachers will take place in the exhibition space and classrooms with a free access for wider audience. For them the ETU “LETI” team will present the latest Russian achievements in science and technologies, VR-aided educational and cultural projects.

The Days of Robotics and Innovative Educational Technologies project is a part of ETU “LETI”’s consistent policy to invite talented African students to our university and educate high-class engineers and researchers for African countries experiencing dynamic economic development. An important mission of this project is to promote Russian scientific and engineering education. To complete it we are planning to present an interactive map of the Russian universities which offer education in such fields as robotics, mechatronics, VR and AR.”

Vice-Rector for International Affairs of ETU "LETI" Anastasia Minina

Another contribution into this mission is the presentation on Decade of Russian Science and Technology, which will highlight the latest R&D news and opportunities to enter bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for international students.

The Days of Robotics project is supported by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Zambia and the Russian House in Lusaka.
